AMSA Connect’s Information Relationship Management™ Platform Helps Universities Increase Student Enrollment

ATLANTA September 5, 2021 – Dallas Baptist University (DBU) has increased student enrollment and saved hundreds of hours of manual data entry with the implementation of AMSimpkins & Associates’ AMSA Connect Information Relationship Management™ (IRM) platform. According to Weston Schubert, the school’s Director of the Center for Innovation, the platform has allowed the university to focus on more value-added tasks and become a more efficient digitized campus.

Dallas Baptist University implemented the Salesforce CRM application to help manage constituent data for admissions, enrollment, and alumni. They partnered with AMSimpkins & Associates (AMSA), which provided real-time data integration to and from Ellucian Colleague ERP by utilizing the AMSA Connect IRM platform.

“I simply do not know how we would have been able to connect Salesforce or Colleague without AMSA. We do not have the resources internally to do that. AMSA was key,” Schubert said.

AMSA Connect is the first Integration Relationship Management™ (IRM) and Data Enhancement Platform for higher education institutions. By integrating various systems across campus, AMSA Connect also provides an intuitive interface for error handling, duplicate resolution, data enhancement, and verification.

“A big selling point in choosing AMSimpkins & Associates,” Schubert said, “was that the company was able to provide a real-time integration between the school’s Ellucian Colleague/ Unidata environment and Salesforce. The platform informs recruiters when students have enrolled, which has increased the school’s retention capabilities.   Schubert continues on to say, “I really do believe, if it wasn’t for our relationship with AMSA, I don’t know what would have happened with our Colleague integration because we just don’t have the designated resources to do that. It would have taken a long, long time,” Schubert said.

Since 2020, between CRMs, LMSs, and ERPs, Dallas Baptist University has successfully connected seven applications on its campus. This photo depicts how they are connecting and utilizing each integration.

Among the features of the AMSA Connect platform are:

  • Address Verification, which is the process of confirming that an address is recognized as real and deliverable by the USPS and international postal delivery services. With Address Verification, each individual postal address that is imported into a campus system is verified, validated and standardized prior to import.
  • Interactive Error Logs, which prevent bad data records that produce errors, which are stored in error logs for the related integration endpoints. Users can perform error maintenance to fix records and have them updated into their respective campus systems correctly. A single repository for all integration errors within a campus ecosystem allows for more efficient error identification, handling and resolution.
  • Intuitive Analytics, which is a quick and intuitive snapshot of a school’s integration operations with a dashboard displaying any number of analytics generated from the integration data itself. This comprehensive analytical view of data and operations can exponentially increase the value of a campus’s integration strategy.
